Soulful Herb Alchemy

Soulful Herb Alchemy a holistic healing brand that is owned and operated by a certified Holistic Practitioner. Her mission is to heal through nature using 100% natural and organic ingredients for all her products. My role in helping to bring this thoughtful mission and vision to life was in using my knowledge and abilities to establish brand identity and packaging design. Through careful research and client briefings we were able to come to a design we were happy with. Having a good communication and understanding of her needs for her brand ensured the designs would be successful and represent her brand well.

My process for this design was first compiling all the data I have regarding the clients wishes, brand mission and history and target audience preferences and using these research points to bring a draft forward. I had to make texture, color, and typography choices for this design that would best fit this scenario. I applied my best practices to make this visually and aesthetically appealing for the client and targeted audience. For example, the client wanted some of the labels to have a craft paper like textured background so in order to do this I created a texture in Adobe Photoshop that mimicked traditional craft paper using images I found of craft paper as reference. There was also dimensions to keep in mind while creating these designs in order for them to print as expected to fit the product bottles and containers. I was also responsible for making sure the files were print ready which was done through Adobe Illustrator and Versa Studios. I completed setup for print preparation and assigning cut paths to be read by my Roland Printer. Due to these tools I have on hand, I was able to do printing and cutting myself and am able to do so for any vinyl print orders. In the image below you can see some of the Soulful Herb Alchemy labels as they are being printed. This has been such a great help for design orders that are looking for stickers or labels as well because am able to knock out two birds with one stone. All in all this project was so much fun to create and it’s always such a great feeling when you can really put your clients ideas into reality.
